An old 401(k). A brokerage account. Insurance policies. Tax documents. Investments spread across different places.
It made sense as you went.
Eventually it becomes hard to see how everything fits together.
We help organize it into one clear strategy.
Making it all work together
Getting organized is a great start. The next step is making sure the pieces actually fit together. Investments, taxes, retirement planning, insurance, and estate planning don’t exist in separate boxes, even though they’re often treated that way. We help connect the dots so your strategy works as a whole.
Keep things moving in the right direction
Life has a way of changing the plan. Careers evolve. Families grow. Retirement gets closer. Markets do whatever markets feel like doing.
We help you make thoughtful adjustments so your strategy stays aligned with your goals.
Behind Stonevale
Robert Lopez, CFP®
After a decade at firms like Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan, I realized most people didn’t need more jargon, more meetings, or another 47-page PDF.
They wanted straightforward advice, better communication, and a financial plan that fit real life.
Do I need a certain net worth to work with a financial advisor?
No. You don’t need millions of dollars to benefit from financial planning. Most clients come to us because they have important financial decisions to make, retirement goals to plan for, or simply want guidance from a CFP® professional.
What does a financial planner actually help with?
Financial planning goes beyond investments. We help coordinate retirement planning, investment management, tax planning, insurance reviews, estate planning, and the day-to-day financial decisions that come with real life.
Can I work with you if I only have one financial question?
Yes. Not everyone needs an ongoing relationship. Our hourly planning option is designed for focused conversations, second opinions, retirement questions, tax planning discussions, and other important financial decisions.
How does a fee-only financial advisor get paid?
We offer two ways to work together: hourly financial planning and ongoing full-service planning. As a fee-only financial advisor, we do not earn commissions or receive compensation for recommending financial products.
Do you work under the fiduciary standard?
Yes. As a fee-only financial advisor, working under the fiduciary standard, we are legally required to act in your best interest. That means our recommendations are based on what’s best for you, not commissions, sales quotas, or proprietary products.
Based in Chicago, Stonevale Wealth Advisors works with individuals and families throughout Forest Glen, Sauganash, Lincolnwood, Edgebrook, and beyond.
