The Stuff Behind The Advice

I optimize things that don't need optimizing.

Whether it's a financial plan, a spreadsheet, a golf bag, or a garage system, I'm always looking for a better way to do things.

My daughters keep me humble.

No matter how productive I think I've been, somebody eventually needs help finding a missing stuffed animal.

I believe financial advice should feel normal.

You shouldn't need a finance degree to understand your financial plan. And you shouldn't need a translator to understand your advisor.

I still think common sense is underrated.

Most successful financial decisions aren't exciting. They're thoughtful, disciplined, and repeated consistently over time.

My Philosophy

No Jargon.

Clear answers beat complicated explanations.

Zero sales.

Advice should be about helping people make decisions, not selling products.

No one-size-fits-all plans.

Every family is different. Their plan should be too.

No unnecessary complexity.

Financial planning should simplify life, not create more work.

Why did you start Stonevale Wealth Advisors?

Chevron down icon
After spending years at larger firms, I wanted the flexibility to provide advice in a way that felt more personal, transparent, and focused on what clients actually need. Stonevale was built around a simple idea: financial planning should help people feel organized, confident, and in control, not overwhelmed by complexity.

How long have you been helping clients with financial planning?

Chevron down icon
I've spent more than a decade helping individuals and families navigate important financial decisions, including retirement planning, investment management, tax planning, estate planning, and major life transitions. Over the years, I've learned that good financial advice is often less about finding the perfect answer and more about helping people make confident decisions.

Are you a fiduciary?

Chevron down icon
Yes. As a fiduciary, I'm required to act in my clients' best interests. That means my recommendations are based on what's best for you, not commissions, sales quotas, or proprietary products.

What does CFP® mean?

Chevron down icon
CFP® stands for Certified Financial Planner™. Earning the designation requires extensive education, a comprehensive examination, professional experience, and an ongoing commitment to ethical standards and continuing education.

What makes Stonevale different from other financial advisors?

Chevron down icon
Every advisor is different, but my approach is built around simplicity, transparency, and long-term relationships. My goal isn't to overwhelm you with financial jargon or complicated strategies. It's to help you feel organized, coordinated, and confident about your financial life.

Why did you become a financial advisor?

Chevron down icon
I became a financial advisor because I enjoy helping people make sense of complicated things. Financial decisions can feel overwhelming, especially when there are so many moving pieces and conflicting opinions.

What drew me to this profession was the opportunity to help people cut through the noise, focus on what matters most, and make decisions with confidence. That's still my favorite part of the job today.

I especially enjoy seeing those "aha" moments when something finally clicks, a client understands their options, sees a path forward, or realizes they're in a better position than they thought. Those moments remind me that good financial planning isn't just about numbers. It's about helping people feel more confident about their future.
